Adobe Photoshope Elements 5 — a complete disaster
I bought the 2.0 version of Adobe Photoshope Elements and it was steaming pile then, and it stinks even worse now at version 5. Here’s the quick and dirty before I raced to uninstall it:
- No choices during install of what to install, only where
- All its auto-adjustments were way off
- I saw no way to customize the toolbar (do I need to buy the full Photoshop to do this?)
- Open a menu and noticeably wait for it to open itself
- Installs a photo downloader and puts it in your tray, without asking
- The open dialog does not wrap in thumbnail mode
- Lots of wasted screen space — again, whether you want it or not
- The program is slower than ever — unbeliably stupid and typical of Adobe’s shitware
- Every right-click brings up the goddamned brush tool
It has loads of effects, but so does every other image editor these days. I could go on and on, but just steer clear folks, as Adobe Photoshope Elements 5.0 is a suicide bomb for Adobe.
