New bill to give bloggers same shield law protection as journalists
Representative Rick Boucher (D-VA) has introduced a bill to the House that will provide federal “shield” protections for journalists. However, the bill has now been modified to provide a broader definition for journalism, which Boucher says is meant to include bloggers.
